This is the museum to go to if you are looking to take a train ride or check out antique autos. A non-profit organization operates this narrow gauge coal fired steam train in a re-created historic village.

The Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of American art. Seven gallaries contain an extensive collection of 18th – 20th Century art including N.C. Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth; Lousie Nevelson; Winslow Homer; Willard Metcalf and Fitz Hugh Lane.

This is one of America’s most unique museums, the internationally famous Musical Wonder House, is "the showplace for mechanical musical instruments." The museum features restored musical boxes and player pianos. Musical instruments are housed in a 32 -room sea captain’s mansion and played in rooms furnished with antiques of the period.
